From morning tea to preparing vegetable spices, ginger is used.  The scientific name of ginger is Jingiber officinal.  Ginger is an herb whose root is used as a spice as well as its use as a medicine.

 Ginger can be used fresh, dried or powdered, in any form.  Not only this, ginger juice and oil are also very beneficial.  Ginger contains carbohydrates, dietary fiber, protein, vitamin B6, calcium, iron, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, zinc, folate, riboflavin, niacin etc.


 Benefits of consuming ginger: -


 1. The phenolic compound present in ginger is beneficial in stomach related gas troubles.


 2. Chewing raw ginger or drinking ginger tea provides relief in nausea.


 3. Consumption of ginger provides relief in muscle pens.  The pain during menstruation is also reduced by the consumption of ginger.
